Stripe ending midchest is not incorrect.
The taper on the back is absolutely normal and correct.

+1

Lapel/stripe matching is usually not possible. With adjustments for hanging shoulders in bespoke /mtm one cannot even expect perfect symmetry.

Stripes ending in the dart is fine and even unavoidable in case of narrow spaced stripes (unless one drops the dart and goes for a sack suit)

Cannot see anything wrong with the stripes on the back. Tapering is a result of having a curved contour adjusted to the body

yfyf has a chalkstripe by Liverano that has darts, but they are mainly hidden:

Here's how he explains it:

Their cutting style has no vertical front darts but there are slanted darts off to the side of the jacket instead. It keeps the front of the jacket clean when dealing with stripes and patterns.

That is clean. I almost need drama in the front of my striped garments, tho.

Good eye on the details. I personally wouldn't wear this jacket either. It's just not my usual style.

Because of the pattern matching or the bold striped nature of the garment? The former is the thrust topic of this thread, not the latter.
