I am looking for a pair of boots for <$100. (essentially all ebay shopping). I came across these boots I can get for $90...Problem is I don't know what kind of craftsmanship these are made with. Can anyone enlighten me? There are only 1 or 2 reviews online so thats not reliable.

Kenneth Cole does not have a great reputation for quality around here. Plus those are ugly.

Don't do it. I bought a pair of Kenneth Cole CP lookalikes for $40.00. The sole wore down in 2 months. If you are asking about quality...stay away from Kenneth Cole shoes.

Can you recommend anything else in a similar price range?

I know Zara catches a lot of flack on here, but I was just there for the first time and they had boots 100x better looking than those for 29 euros. Hard to find nice boots under $100.

boots under $100...that is tough to find mate.

Aldo is an option, then again, I wouldnt give A on quality or durability, but fairly fashionable and on budget.

they don't neccesarily have to be under $100...anything that retails under 200 I can probably find in my price range. Im more just looking for brands to look at and brands to stay away from. Ive had bad experiences with Bed:Stu, but what about Timberland? Specifically earthkeepers? I know Frye is respected here, but its hard to find fashionable pairs for the price I like.

Thanks for any help.

Even at $200, it is hard to recommend brands that are decent. Quality footwear is not cheap. The lower end on here would be the likes of Allen Edmond, and those retail well over $200. Red Wing is decent for what it is, but I also think most, if not all, models retail for above $200.

I would highly recommend saving up.

Before having a good paying job, I used to settle for cheap stuff too...Kenneth Cole, Clarks, etc. They wore down quickly, but they served my the job.

Now that I'm able to afford middle tier brands like Alden, Tricker's, etc. the quality is second to none.

So I ordered a pair of Timberland Earthkeepers. (only paid $67 total so Im very happy with them). My question is; Do I need to do anything with them in regards to conditioning, protecting, sealing, etc as they are brand new? Thank you

They're only $67...they are cheap enough to replace. If you were to spend money on quality shoe care product, it would run more than the cost of the shoes or nearly that of the shoes.
