Anyone know which Alden Boot style these are?

Thread Starter

The following Alden boots turned up on ebay.  I really like them but i have never seen them before:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Vintage-Leather-Cap-Toe-Ankle-Boots-desert-cordovan-chukka-shoe-alden-9-5-10-/180802474813?pt=US_Men_s_Shoes&hash=item2a18aad33d#ht_1663wt_1181

They are neither Indys nor Chukkas. does anyone know anything about this style?

Not sure what they would be called, but I dig them.

I wonder why people don't polish shoes and put trees in them for the pics? Seems that would increase the price

I don't think they're alden. I think its in the title to generate hits. I hate scumbags that do that.

A good clue is the fact that the seller has "varvatos, wellingtons, rubber, woolrich, banana republic, jcrew, gap, womens, mens,Festival, alden allen edmonds,wolverine,1000 mile" in the text of the auction in white, to generate search hits.

Not alden, not a chukka, not a boot, not a shoe, not cordovan, great fucking description

What a header!
*Vintage Leather Cap Toe Ankle Boots* desert cordovan chukka shoe alden 9.5 10
These army-like boots aren't worth it. Not this pair.
Look at the bid history:
http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&_trksid=p4340.l2565&rt=nc&item=180802474813

Look suspicious to me. The guy probably has 2 or more computers and bumps his own bids up or has a friend do it for him.
They were probably thrifted for $5 as he has no clue how to describe them, he is not the original owner.
Personally I would not buy anthing from a seller such as this one.
