Hughes Low Custom Alligator Wallet Review - Page 7

I am afraid the same happened to him as to Salvatorre of those ridiculous 1000 dollar pants from Genoa. There was a long lachrymose thread somewhere here about all those waiting with their pants down and many thousands dollars in orders with no hope of ever receiving any magic pants from Genoa.
IMHO, Hu got large number of customers from Asia and gave up on his customers from the rest of the world.

This is pretty common. He'll reply fairly quickly at first, then after a long time then not at all...

Well if it helps, I am able to offer near-guaranteed and quick delivery of Hughes straps for those ordering my watches (I could also chase him up on other orders in the process). I meet him regularly in person.

How much for a bill fold wallet?

I've been waiting for a reply back for a custom made wallet & belt... i'll maybe consider a alligator leather strap but do they fit on g shocks?

i bet those watch straps that hughes uplaoded all were ordered by you. haha

I did some research and he did say a watch strap takes anywhere from 4-5 hours. Wow, I can't imagine how many hours for a 8 card wallet or a belt would take!

For my part, about a year ago, i was working with Hughes on a custom croc slim wallet. We had collaborated together to make sketches of the final product, which i was very exited about. After agreeing to his price, he never replied to any of my following emails. He had responded within the day till then, and provided many croc sample images as well as custom sketches.

Till this day i have not heard back from him. It's a shame, it was going to be a fantastic wallet...

would you mind to share some sketches he drew for you for your custom croc slim wallet?

i'm trying to buy a custom croc slim wallet as well from him and haven't heard back for almost a week now.

How much did you agree to pay for his custom croc sim wallet? Over $1000? less than $1000?

Jubei's information makes this thread/creator very disappointing. I mean after watching and following his tumblr I am annoyed as there are so many things that I want but through poor communication makes it impossible for me to even think of getting excited about the projects.

I really want to try to call hughes lows but I don't have international minutes. :(

I made this sketch after some concept sketches he sent me. Quite ambitious, but with some niloticus crocodile skin in navy that he had in stock, the quote was just under $700 shipped. A great price, since I was quite confident in his work.

Now it is the stuff of legends...

Wow, this is really a great design. The price of $700 for an inside and out alligator design is a great price including international shipping. I would hell buy this wallet too!

a coin pocket wouldn't make it a slim wallet if you intend to use it to put coins in.

it seems you are quite adamant on ordering from Hughes... and rightfully so. He seems like he does fantastic work at a good price. But I would urge you to consider other options due to his lack of responsiveness. Unless you live in Singapore (or get lucky somehow), perhaps consider other makers?

I haven't tried any of these, but have heard good things:
