Dear all,
I've done a bad thing and spilled red wine on a very nice pair of Ralph Lauren orange corduroy trousers. I did a worse thing and impulsively took them to a previously untested drycleaners and they have come back with stain intact, a few shades lighter, and generally more worn looking.
Now I'm quite tempted to dye them using Dylon fabric dye (specifically orange goldfish colour) to remedy the now worn out look they have acquired, but I was thinking about first taking them to another cleaners to lighten the stains further.
Thoughts/ experience with dyeing trousers and any dry cleaner recommendations will be gratefully received.
Best,
tinsel
