Cotton Vs Polycotton in a trenchcoat

Thread Starter
I am doing some research into all aspects of a trenchcoat before dropping the big bucks. I've narrowed it down to Burberry or Aquascutum having figured I want to buy once. Both do cotton or a Polycotton with the all cotton priced at a premium. Would like to know the pros and cons in terms of comfort and durability. I am bias towards cotton as I dislike poly cotton shirts particularly in warmer weather. Any input appreciated.

Burberry refers to a Gardabine cotton.

Once I solve this issue the next post will be Burberry Vs Aquascutum shog[1].gif

This.

In addition, I replaced my worn Burberry with a BB trench about two years ago and I can say that I'm very happy with the BB and I like it a bit more than my Burberry.

You should maybe consider traditionalrainwear.co.uk,

Made in England as opposed to today's Burberry. Very well made.

Thanks for the link. I had never heard of them. Looks like they used to make for Burberry and Aquascutum, Reasonably priced, too.

EDIT: This old review on FL troubles me:

Also, they don't appear to have valid security certificates.

The review seems to be quite positive, all in all.

A friend of mine has a coat by them and is extremely satisfied; I know of several other (sartorially very experienced) ones that are also quite happy with them.
Their website is not the most professional one, but the product is very good.

The link doesn't work though. Go for Burberry.
