she went abroad went into coma and the doctors abroad performed surgery and treated her. she came back to the us, but she couldnt get any insurance because of pre existing condition. ACA happened and she got insured through PCIP. then she got into another coma and another surgery was performed that cured her and luckily she had pcip to pay for everything. otherwise she wouldve died
so essentially aca and pcip saved her life
why is that fail
i honestly want the us to get rid of ACA, medicare, medicaid, CHIP, tricare, VA and a new universal system in place that covers everybody. if you have a job your employer splits your insurance payments with you. if you're a small business owner your county and/or state helps out. if you're poor, young, old, or ex service the fed gov't helps out generously.
get rid of health care tax deductions which is basically a regressive tax (poor people dont make enough money for their taxes to be enough for deductions to help and vice versa)
unify the systems, decrease administrative costs for everybody, everybody gets a health insurance card with your info on it so no duplicative unnecessary work happens, limit tort, no denial based on pre-existing coverage, insurance companies have to pay up within two weeks, politicans get same health care as everybody
instead of continually patching over previous bandaids we need a system overhaul.
how does every developed nation in the world except the us have this
