I was taught to give to charity, so the thought is where, which reminder me of my own childhood. Most of the giving was for Christianity, but beyond that where to give? Adults can take care of themselves, but children are rather dependent. How many poor children see education as hope for a better life? Probably not many. Telling never convinced me. If they showed me dozens of dozens of them from poor with achievement after college I would have believed them, but they never showed. You also have to remember that the social life can be an entanglement. The outlook of wealthy children can be very different from the middle-class, which is very different from the poor. The haves have no idea how much the have nots don't have. Now I've written of two blind spots. Anyway, tired of writing.
