The irony. It feels good.

Everything except the black community. Apparently your crazy white wing FB friends and Bill Cosby are on the same page there. Does that feel good?

IIRC, the use of the phrase "black community" is, itself, racist.

I believe another solution is listed on the infographic. It has to do with how many of the lowest income countries have poor access to birth control.

If only it was that simple I would start a nonprofit to give anti-baby pills to teh poorz around the world. The fact of that matter is that "access to birth control" does not adequately frame the issues on this topic. For instance, poor Jews in Israel have great access to birth control. The problem is there's a very material segment of the Israeli population that has huge litters due to cultural/religious reasons. Here's a little link with an interesting stat:

The data revealed that the percentage of families with neither parent earning a salary increases with the number of children.

Approximately 25% of families with six or more children have no earners, while among families with two children, the rate stands at 8%. In total, roughly 9.6% of families with children do not include breadwinners.

The proportion of families whose total income remains below the minimum wage increases with the number of children, the data demonstrates.

Why I picked Israel is to demonstrate that "access to birth control" sounds like such a great panacea but it's just not.

They had access to birth control in Idiocracy and that didn't save them.

Sorry, my post had to do with how 73% of the women needing contraception live in 69 of the worlds poorest countries.

Maybe there are some wrong things with black community if Bill Cosby made these points,

and yes your friends could be labeled racist if not quoting a black man on the matter

because this is how it works now in our two faced politically correct world.

Those people don't need birth control. They're so poor that most of the kids they have will die due to poor medical care. So if they had birth control then even fewer kids would survive and they'd likely die out completely in a few generations. Providing birth control in many African countries is nothing more than genocide.

Thank you. This was kind of my whole point.

I'm not sure what this means.

Not sure how your "whole point" was what wojt said. Wojt basically said for white people to speak honestly about problems in black communities they need the cover of a black man speaking of the problems. Your post seemed to indicate it was funny your "crazy right wing friends" picked Bill Cosby to be that man because he's (assumably) not crazy or right wing based upon your description of him.

Wonder what fraction of those families having children without jobs are receiving state funding for religious study.

Weird politics in Israel with the ultra-Orthodox.

It seems like a big problem in a lot of the world that works against the supposed panacea of handing out birth control is the enormous power differential between men and women in many Third World countries. Do we really think women in Niger getting married at 12 are going to be allowed to use birth control even if they can get ahold of it?

That's the thing I'm saying, FLMM is saying, etc. The infographic (what a word) was clearly put together with the thought that "access to birth control" is the issue/solution and built backwards from the predetermined conclusion of the propagandist...err, author. It clearly is a far deeper and more complex issue than that loaded with various cultural and religious dimensions. The infographic clearly places the fault on developed countries not giving undeveloped countries more money for b/c methods and wants to wealth shame (new phrase by Piob!) into forking over cash as if that's the solution.

It ain't.

Can we rename those things to "Ignographics"? As in "ignorant graphics".
