+1 for Big Lebowski reference.

Family planning can also be code for abortion right?

then I agree.

Fore every one dollar the Feds spends on abortions, its saves 4 dollars in the long run*

*made that up, but I think that sounds about right.

A while back, but just wanted to QFT.

Nameback, for all his idiocy, contributed to conversation. As far as I can tell Norcal just tosses out emotional outbursts and empty snark.

How expensive is it to just pull out? Used that method for ten years, had one slip-up that took care of itself.

Here in Virginia, the Attorney General race came down to 165 votes, one of the closest margins in state history. Mark Obenshain, the Republican who lost, has requested a recount. And now Democrat friends are shitting up my FB wall complaining about the recount being a waste of money, and that Obenshain should concede. No matter who your dog is in this fight, I don't see how anyone can think a recount in this situation is a waste of money.

Bitch please. In order for conversation to take place certain minimum requirements need to be met. The types of "points" that you and a few others have been making are so primitive that there is really nowhere to go. If "wet streets make it rain" is your starting point when talking about birth control then there is really to be gained by engaging.

Here's a free tip though: if you find your line of reasoning consistently aligning with that of Lighthouse, it's time to seriously rethink things.

I agree with you on this part. Munch's point was pretty much "correlation is not causation," and that is pretty fundamental. Not much to talk about there.

This is the problem with a lot of people. They find a correlation and just treat it like causation. Especially when it comes to an issue like gender issues or violence in video games, everyone goes like "99% of all people who go on killing sprees have played video games before! BAN THEM!"

That infographic is a bunch of correlation bs with no proof of causation. It could easily be reverse causation Heck, it could just be that women that use birth control tend to be more educated, and people who are more educated tend to make more money.

you should have saved some words and just said "wow. Just...wow"

This is almost certainly the case.

First, I would like to submit my resume to be included on the list of the Five Fuckwits of the CESS.

Second, I cannot believe no one picked up on the fact that apparently the "donor countries" are not "paying their fair share" for birth control around the world. I am really going to become bowed under the double shame and guilt of not only paying less than my fair share in America but also I'm not paying it so consequence free fornication can happen in far off corners of the globe. I think the new line should be, "I got my fuck, give me money."

Or it could be that educated people, who, as you say, tend to make more money, can afford birth control. If you are a poor, uneducated, poverty stricken woman living in a third world country perhaps your priorities might start with feeding the 5 children you already have rather than buying condoms that your husband probably won't use anyway.

So we've determined there isn't causation and that infographic is stupid as fuck. Everyone wins.

No, we've determined that causation is unknown given the available data, and that infographic is stupid as fuck.
