I'm two months into my first year and even I know that that is complete bull.

It has been said once, it will be said again. If you do not want something known/disclosed, don't post it on the internet.

People are amazing sometimes.

A lot of people think the law is full of all kinds of little tricks and loopholes. You would be surprised how many people think that if you ask an undercover cop if he is a cop, he has to answer truthfully. Seems like that would make working undercover pretty pointless.

Or some of the things that really nutty tax protesters come up with, about fringes on flags and whatnot.

This is why I'm glad the closest thing I have to a facebook page is an unofficial page maintained by my fans.

This is a cultural issue with much of our youth these days. They don't view digital data the same way they do physical goods. Your example is funny, but doesn't hold water in that regard. They wouldn't walk into your house and steal things, but they have no problem infringing copyrights via the internet. The disclaimers they place hold little weight, but in their eyes so does the possible repercussions of these actions.

It's not a cultural issue with our youth these days, and it's not about digital data. It's about intellectual property vs. physical property. People dubbed VHS and audio tapes and photocopied books and magazines well before the existence of the internet.

Fair point, even if I would argue it's much more prevalent these days due to the ease of copying digital data and the internet.

Note sure I remember whole books being photocopied as a big thing. Text books for school, sure there is that.

And would you say the fossil fuel industry should be subsidised or should alternative energy sources be afforded at least a level playing field?
