This is probably going to piss off a lot of people, but f*ck it..... it's my opinion.

O rly? Lets consider some scenarios.... if a psychopath points a shotgun at you and threatens to blow you away, would stating "I have the right to life!" make any difference? Of course not. Or what about if you are a suspected and you are seized by government officials and held without trial or charges? Would stating "I have the right to liberty!" make any difference? Of course not. How about if you are so bogged down in debt and responsibility that you have to work at 3 jobs that you hate for much less than you deserve just to make enough money to feed yourself and your kids, and to provide a roof over your head? Would stating "I have the right to pursue happiness!!" change your circumstances? Of course not. Like George Carlin said, rights are not rights if they can be taken away from you.
These are the only rights a human being is granted in this world..... you have the right to die, you have the right to think about whatever you want, and you have the right to choose what you believe. That's it. Anything else is just clever fiction.
