So how do you interpret it? And how does the fact that marijuana doesn't kill people make it medicine?

It's just a stupid argument.

At best it's a weird non sequitor. Marijuana killing people or not has nothing to do with its medicinal value. Also there's no argument for ending prohibition savings lives, just that marijuana doesn't kill people.

Unless both marijuana and Tylenol can both be used for say chronic pain relief, and one is safer than the other.

It's just a stupid argument.

It's poorly worded, but you could only fail to parse the argument through willful ignorance. Both can be used for pain relief, but strangely the safer one is banned.

Yeah except that little graphic doesn't actually...you know...mention any of that.

It would have made sense if it said "If you believe that Tylenol is safe and Marijuana isn't etc etc", but it didn't.

At best it's an extremely shitty argument and isn't exactly doing any credit to the legalization cause.

Unless one of them has no common side effects and the other can cause euphoria, anxiety, ataxia, increased appetite, etc.

Point being, Tylenol and marijuana are not on the same level in the medical world. They are not used to treat the same conditions.

As I said it's poorly worded, but it most certainly doesn't say that 'So the only criterion for whether something is medicine or not is whether or not people can die taking it".

It's not a shitty argument, it's a reasonable argument that has been muddled.

I don't really care what the actual full out argument is (I'm in favor of legalization); the argument presented on the graphic sucks donkey balls in many dimensions.

Exactly my point. Sorry if my original comment went a little too far.

Ok guys, Fang really likes pot. Can we move on now?
I think you ignored the word "common" in my post. "When used in small doses, no COMMON side effects have been reported with Tylenol."
