Sno-Seal Vs Obenauf's: Which one do you use?

Hi guys,

I just bought 2 pairs of boots: 1 pair of LL Bean Katahdin Engineer Boots (used for beat ups/hiking/muddy days), and 1 pair of Wolverine 1000 Mile Boots in brown (slightly nicer, dress casual option).

My polarizing question: Should I use Sno Seal, or should I use Obenauf's?

I use Obenauf's and it protects against water very well. It also does a good job of treating the leather.

I used Sno Seal back in the 70's. Can still smell my boots cooking in the oven if I close my eyes....

Now I use Obenauf's heavy duty lp on my Russel Grand Slam Sheep Hunters and both pair of Meindl boots. In the fall they see a lot of time pheasant hunting in the pot hole region of SD and grouse hunting in Northern Mn. between the North Shore and Boundary Water Canoe Area. My boots have never leaked with Obenauf's. Either way clean them first before every application with a good Saddle Soap and let dry thoroughly, then treat. Hope you enjoy your new boots.
