A little update - I went in and did a fitting. As is usual in bespoke shoe making, they make a full dummy shoe with scrap leather. In this case, it was pretty tight around my toes, so rather than adjust it for the final shoe, they're going to adjust the last further and make a second dummy shoe, which I'll pick up in a week or so and take home with me to wear around the house and gauge fit.
And Raul just mentioned to me that he's planning to move Willie's into the Don Ville space, since they have plenty of room in the workshop, so if you need shoe repair in LA, you can just take stuff there.
