What to wear under this cardigan?

Hi, any suggestions to what would go well under the cardigan I've linked below. I was thinking of possibly wearing chinos with it but unsure if i should have a shirt under or not, if so what colour would look good?

white vneck tee, or a white button front shirt. Some may disagree, but i wear a V neck with my cardigans and chinos quite a bit on weekends.

Just about any dress shirt that's not patterned (light colors like white and blue, since this may not be obvious to you). If you opt for a tie, simple in pattern and textured, or a large scale pattern like a thick stripe.

And yes, you need to wear a frigging shirt. They really aren't optional.

As for pants, khakis, jeans, whatever. Think of it as a gray sweater in terms of color coordination, and only worry about the pattern when coordinating with other pattered or textured items.

Never wore a cardy and never intend to. That said, you'll need a plain shirt without a pattern, it would be too much, and the shirt should be in a colour to compliment grey and whatever colour pants you're you're wearing. would probably go with white or black, maybe navy

White is really quite dependable and maybe black or grey trousers.

Grey pants, white shirt if you live in a safe neighbourhood. A bullet-proof vest if you live in the ghetto.
