Getting married! Need a suit!

I have been lurking on this site looking for style advice for my wedding.  I finally decided to ask! 

 

Anyways, I am getting married in October in South Florida.  The ceremony is at 430pm at a garden and the reception starts afterwards at clubhouse where the dining will be outdoors and dancing/ bar indoors. 

 

My budget is between $500-$800.  I want a nice suit that I can use in the future, but I do not want to break the bank.  I am looking for a nice navy suit.  I'm about 5'-8", with very broad shoulders.  I have gone to several stores and I am comfortable in a 44R. Please let me know what styles I could be looking at for my suit.  I have been looking at men's warehouse and those suits put me to sleep.  I am an architect so we are very picky with what we wear.  My future wife doesn't understand that side of me yet. Lol

Brooks Brothers 1818 Fitz or Regent. You can easily get them on sale under $800.

Funny I was just at a Brooks brothers factory store on Sunday.  But I am not sure that they offered those styles.  I will have to go back and verify.  Thanks.

factory store stuff is made in china junk. Go to one of the actual stores.

The only way to get married is basted, wasted and naked as fuck. 

 

If your fiancé doesn't dig that, then maybe SuitSupply might be good to look into, in terms of cost effectivity. The suiting is quite good quality in terms of fabric, construction and fit. They retail mostly between $460 and $700. You might be able to save on the suit and get some shoes and a tie, perhaps.

+1 Brooks Brothers is also a viable option for that price range.

Ludlows are okay looking. The lapels are way too skinny IMO. Plus, I've heard the jackets are too short.

I like the Ludlow and I own one myself, but it's a very slim fitting suit. You're 5'8" tall and wear a 44R? It might not be the cut for you. The recommendations earlier were good - the BB Regent or Fitzgerald, but I think it'll be more than your budget.

Thanks for all the comments.

 

I have super broad shoulders that is why I am a 44R.  I am going to lose about ten pounds before the wedding, but I think that I still will be a 44R. lol

Agreed, go to a boutique, get fitted - then look for a good deal based on your fit.

I would not recommend that for a wedding. Go for the Fitz @ BB - its a very well regarded suit and if you ever need to wear it again, it won't disappoint.
