If you use "blazer" as synonymous with "sport coat," then yes, whenever it's cool enough to warrant wearing one. I just got back from walking the dog this evening while wearing my Harris tweed jacket from W.W. Chan.

Not everyone wears it with pocket squares so maybe it is a matter of personal preference.

I've got to admit,I am guilty myself for walking the dog in my SC in the past. But never a blazer.
