This is my first post on here, and well I am running short on time, I leave for a five day business trip on Tuesday, and it will be a lot of first times for me. I have never flown, never owned a suit or really dressed up at all except for when I went to church as a young boy.
I just spent the good majority of the weekend out shopping for things to wear, which proved to be more difficult due to my size. I am 6'6 280 pounds, wear a 18-36 shirt and a 50L jacket. Below is what was purchased the last two days minus 3 shirts that were too big that I will be returning. My biggest struggle is finding a balance of what I can wear in and out of meetings... I also have no fashion sense so the ties that were suggested just don't seem to click with me, looking to see if anyone can help me out before its too late.
couple of quick questions about the stuff I bought...
the majority of shirts collar are spread, that being said, is it a big no no to wear it without a tie and possibly the top button undone? It was super hard to find any shirts my size and I only found one point collar and one button collar (considering returning the button, it just another white oxford).
Can I wear any of the shirts below with the jacket or are there rules against what colors I can wear with the jacket? Also is it safe to wear the khaki with my jacket or should I just leave it to shirt and khaki alone?
The ties they helped pick out, what shirts can I wear them with? the upper right shirts were picked with tie by a lovely woman at Nordstroms.
I feel completely lost and anxious, looking for someone to hopefully provide me with some advise on what I can do with the things below and let me know if I should bring anything back.
