Just out of curiosity, how many of y'all own more than one solid Navy suit.

I only have one solid navy now, but used to have 4 of them, 1 double breasted, 3 single breasted, two two button, one three button. Got rid of all but kept a two button. I have migrated towards patterned suits now, not so interested in solid colors. I keep only three solid color suits for interviews or for occasions that call for it, but rarely if ever wear them for normal work days.

I only own one, but I only have 3 suits. =P

Do you own more then one?

I wouldn't mind getting another navy suit, but not another solid, maybe if it had a pink pinstripe. If I were rich I might consider getting a db navy though.

Two DB, one SB 3-piece (though this one is herringbone), one SB linen, one SB fresco, one SB flannel. Plus a lighter than navy sharkskin and a navy with a faint royal nailhead.

I only have one navy suit, 2B plain worsted; however, I prefer grey and charcoal suits.

One navy with a faint pinstripe due to be replaced by a solid navy in a very light twill. One solid navy linen/cotton. Both 3 button.

I have one, a 3/2 Pressidential, and am toying with a BB GF two-button that's in play on the secondary market--if I can get it for the right price. Besides being a different cut, my logic is that a backup on staple items is a good idea (pens explode in pockets, food gets spilled) if it can be accomplished for a reasonable price. A third would be difficult to justify.

One plain navy lightweight SB, 3-button.

One plain navy SB, 3 roll 2.

One plain navy DB, 2 show 3.

Two navy DB chalkstripe.

And a not quite dark enough to be navy plain blue linen SB summer number.

Planning my next 3-4 orders, at least one is plain navy.

There's a reason expensive PR people make politicians and CEOs wear plain navy suits: they look good.

navy solid, navy pinstripe, navy herringbone ... would not mind getting another navy solid with different characteristics than the existing one

Chalkstripe shouldn't count. But that plain navy suits look good is dead on.
