I am looking for something different than the typical business shoe to wear with my navy suits. What are your thoughts on these in sand/chocolate?

Thanks!!!

I've seen derbys work before in an office setting (just once) and they were not suede and had a very fine sole. That will not work

Not with a suit - sorry.

There have been times in the past when you might see saddle shoes with suits but it's not much loved currently.

Uh, those aren't derbies (which can be fine at the office) and, no, I would not wear those with a navy suit.

If you want different, how about a monk strap instead?

Burgundy brogues ftw

Sorry mate, these are way too casual. It will be hard to wear just with plain office attire ....with navy suit - no chance. If you want nice saddle shoes to wear on a business environment and also be a bit different then look for florsheim by duckie brown saddle shoes. They look sleek IMO .

Never those shoes with a suit. With a sport coat combo, yes.

If you really are Spiccoli then you'll be fine wearing these with your suit, and presumably ordering pizza to the boardroom as well smile.gif Rock on!

Otherwise, no.

For some reason, I only think of saddle shoes as being appropriate for schoolboys. The only suit I see these with is seersucker--maybe.

I was thinking saddles and said derby. Is that considered a freudian slip?
