There are two lines of PRPS. A good amount of the stuff is made in China now of very cheap denim that is not selvedge

+1

I love PRPS Impala fit and keep an eye on what else is out there .... I was disheartened to find out a lot of their models now are over distressed and grossly overpriced "fashion" kind of jeans

There are now a number of lines: Prps (made in Japan), Prps heirloom (made in US) and PRPS Goods & Co (China).

The vast majority of PRPS are not selvedge, and those pairs that are, are mostly not purple. The first few seasons one rinse Impala selvedge did have purple selvedge, but most from then on didnt.

Also, the impala fit is discontinues, and PRPS has always been about the distressing.

What website did you order from?

I have two pairs of PRPS from before they added more/diffusion(?) lines and neither one is selvedge.

The washes are amazing, though, so who gives a shit.

On the tag on the inside they say made in Japan P53P30X dont get me wrong I do like them but was expecting selvedge. I like a little cuff on my jeans so the selvedge makes all the difference!

Interesting about the different lines as the actual paper label at the bottom says PRPS Goods & Co and also on the pocket it has some writing talking about the craftsmanship etc where it also mentions selvedge it also says PRPS Goods & Co.

How they talk about purple selvedge denim etc on there websites and on the actual jeans them selves and not be selvedge, seems very misleading to me.
