navy works generally but light hues as exemplified by the photo can also work.

I'm actually olive skinned. My skin looks a bit lighter in color though in the pic because of the studio lights on my face.

I like navy, it's a classic color and great to pair with most of my shirts/pants.

Stay away from tan, gold and orange. All else should work pretty well.

Well you can always wear a solid red blazer so your jacket will be worthy of it's moniker.

 

With a red blazer your white shirt will really pop or you can tone down the contrast with a powder blue shirt. Finding matching ties will be easy if you stick with the basic strategies of compliment and/or contrast.

 

To avoid the country club look, avoid any overt pattern in your trousers; the more subtle and darker your trousers, the better. Even black trousers will work with a red blazer, if you intend to camouflage any lower half defects.

 

Of course, if you really meant sport coat instead of blazer, you can have more fun with pattern matching within your chosen color scheme whatever it might be.
