Hey everyone, I found a couple pairs of Lee Kee shoes at a local thrift shop. Does anyone know anything about these shoes? They are in pretty decent shape I did a quick google search and it says he was some famous shoe maker in Hong Kong back in the day. Does anyone else have any insight on these shoes? Thanks!!!

Nothing guys? Just want to know if anyone knows the quality of them.

I found this one site and from what it looks they seem to be very well made vintage shoes.

Any help would be appreciated!

Lee Kee makes bespoke (custom) shoes in Hong Kong.  The quality is excellent and if they fit you they would be a great find.

I don't know anything about these but I probably wouldn't wear them in the rain.

Lee Kee!! At last I think I am reminded of the name of the Hong Kong shoe maker that I and a number of my squadron mates went to in the mid-60s to have shoes made! I believe I had three pair made, and still have one left after all threse years. Nice looking, well made and fit very well. Can't imagine how much they would cost now. Wish I had an address for I would see if they still have the lasts after all these years.

Was a subsidiary of the shipping Co. of the same name.  Went belly up and sank without a trace in the 70s.

My father wore size 16 shoes and could not find anything in the Cincinnati area. He heard about Lee Kee and they had him trace his foot on a piece of paper. It was mailed in and some time later the shoes came back in the style he ordered. He rotated the shoes, but he had those shoes for almost 40 years. He would just get new soles when he needed them.

Classic anecdote. Interesting how many Lee Kees are appearing on eBay. Steady trickle and all in good shape - bnot unsurprisingly.

If you ever get the urge to sell, and you happen to be a 10.5-11, for the love of god let me know- those are amazing.

Thank you

Two more pictures showing true color.

They are very slightly longer than a 10 and a definite a US "D" width.

I doubt you will find one with tiles as big as these, and illegal to harvest now if you could.

These were made in the late 1960's from the looks of the sole and heels, which are originals and hardly worn.
