How about you save that $1000 you're about to spend on a piece of jewelery (yes, it's jewelery because you're buying it to impress people you don't know) and invest that towards something that would make you a more well-rounded person, like cooking/art/music classes. Being good with a sketchpad, able to play an instrument and cook more than just meat and potatoes has gotten me laid far more times than any clothes/expensive things I own. As a bonus you'll be more interesting at dinner parties too.

I've acquired my 3 omegas over the years and none of my girlfriends were ever impressed ...being able to cook a decent meal now that is a different story!!
