Ralph Lauren Academy Peacoat

Hi all. Looking for some input from anyone who has experience with the Ralph Lauren Academy Peacoat

http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4441098#Page_0

http://www.my-wardrobe.com/polo-ralph-lauren/navy-melton-college-pea-coat-424204?c_id=wgusd&utm_source=********_affiliate_usd&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=********_affiliate_usd&_$ja=tsid:9732&cm_mmc=affiliate-_-********-_-US-_-my-wardrobe

I'm almost 100% sure those are the same coat with different names/prices.

Anyways...

-sizing? (fit large or small)

-quality/texture? (EX: soft, hard, itchy)

-pockets (comfortable? especially the side flap pockets)

-collar (does the collar actually look like the one in the pictures from the 2nd link?)

-length (too long?, sleeves?)

im usually a medium but i just ordered a small because i usually have to size down for wool coats... but i can always change order before they ship it depending on feedback.

5'8-5'9

155 (not skinny)

one of the most important aspects to me is the collar. had to return the jcrew one because it didnt work out for me.

Thanks guys!

Looks good, but why not consider a Filson or Spiewak peacoat, made in the USA?

i just checked them out. they are a bit boxy for me. im only 5'8-5'9 and so the boxier the worse for me. apparently the ralph lauren's fit is a bit more flattering.

i actually just changed my order from Small to Medium as the measurements indicate that i dont need to size down.... HOPEFULLY this is the case.

I have it. I'm a 40R (5'10 170) and the Medium fits snugly over a sweater. The fabric is slightly coarse to the touch. I'm not sure what you're asking about the collar. Perhaps you're referring to the right-side lapel? If so, both photos are accurate-- the Polo site shows it folded over and buttoned inside, while the other site shows it unfolded and, presumably, unbuttoned.
