So I find that increasingly, though in the past I have eschewed buying for buying's sake, and definitely understand the value of a hard day's work, over the past decade and a half I see that my appetite for fine clothes and shoes has increased, and my disappointment for things ruined by the unruly spilled cocktail or careless damsel has waned...

Has it for YOU, my peers?

Do you agree?: My thought is: If a girl spills a glass of bordeaux on my EG suede bals or my made-to-measure Marinella-- it sucks, but I have several to replace them OR i'll buy new ones. Is that the wrong attitude to have, in a word??? Comments please.

In a way yes. But if we are talking about my first bespoke suit, or my first pair of handmade shoes then i have some sentimental attachment to those. But yes it is the wrong attitude to have, especially since the reason you should be buying these things in the first place is because of the long term investment in a quality item that you plan on wearing for years.
