Hello,
I have been trying to get a couple nice pairs of dress shoes (I know right before winter!). Anyway, I hadn't had the opportunity to investigate Crockett & Jones, so I got a pair through mail order to investigate. They fit quite well, though I have had that illusion before when walking is not involved with them on, and are very well made. They struck me as VERY sleek, which I thought was not a characteristic of British shoes. I thought traditionally they were somewhat big and clunky? Does Church's or Cheaney still make them in that traditional fashion? It does seem at though they may from their websites. From the website it does not look as though Edward Green or John Lobb do, though I could be mistaken. Unfortunately, I don't live in an area where all these shoes are readily accessible to me to investigate.
Thank you!
