Wavy collar issue

I purchased a few shirts during a TM Lewin sale a while back and I'm having an issue with one of them. (I know they're not top of the line shirts) The collar on one of the 4 I have is, for lack of better word, wavy. Throughout the day it slowly gets worse, but instead of being flat, it develops waves. They're not noticeable to the eye, hence the lack of picture, but if you feel it they're really uneven. The collar fits my neck really well, but it's almost like there's too much material in the points and it wrinkles as it has nowhere else to go. Any other ideas of what might cause this?

TML shirts are made with unfused collars. As the day goes along, they will get a little wavy. Some hate this and want the clean, stiffer look of a fused collar, others feel it contributes to charm and sprezzatura.

Not sure about TMLewin shirts, but it may be the following:

1. Collar too big if you're wearing a tie.
2. Using the dryer on anything but very low heat.
3. Ironing the collar at a high-temp setting when it is dry.

I really had no idea. It was just recently that I began putting more thought into what I wear and the kinds of shirts I buy. I'll keep this in mind.

Thanks for the thoughts. If the collar were tighter, I'd probably end up choking, I don't use the dryer, and I always iron when the shirt is damp--either from the wash or I spray it down.

I find that just about every collar does this to some extent, even stiffer fused collars. The best solution is to starch the collar tips and iron.

I actuaklly tried this a few times, starching and ironing, works on me too.
