Junya Sizing?

Thread Starter

Nobody was answering in the questions thread and I'd like an answer soon (hopefully) before it sells out so here it goes.

Looking to pick up a Junya Watanaba Man wool knit varsity sweater. I wear a medium in t shirts and a medium/large in outerwear stuff and was wondering if anyone knew how it ran. Any insight that would help me pick between a medium and large would definitely make me a happy camper.

Also, if I'm mainly wearing it with dark/raw indigo jeans, do I go blue or green?

Apologize ahead of time for vagueness, but I recall someone here getting one in the past week or two and commenting that they fit small, I think they said they should have sized up one.

I google searched the forum ("site:styleforum.net junya sizing varsity"), these are from the top two results:

There's measurements on a closed B&S for a Medium: P2P - 20", sleeves - 26"
Another B&S size L is stated best for a 48 or slim 50.

Seems to confirm what I remember. Best of luck. Either colour would work for raw denim. I'm a fan of the green myself.

I'd go with a large if I were you but measure some sweaters that fit you well and go from there.  As for color, either would go with raw denim just fine.  I like blue more but just get whatever color  you like more.

I'm usually a medium in everything, but I tried a Junya wool cardigan coat and needed a Large and it still fit snug.
