Well Dressed TV Characters

Hi guys,

I was watching a few of the shows I follow the other night and I found myself becoming distracted with a few of the characters ensembles.  This is decidedly the fault of SF ( thumbs-up.gif ) so I figured I'd pop in start a thread to see what characters you guys have identified as "well dressed."

Let me preface this list by saying, I'm obviously very new and my eye isn't as good as most of yours, so I apologize if I post any characters that are in fact not that well dressed lol.

  • Harvey Specter, Mike Ross and Louis Litt from Suits
  • Neal Caffrey from White Collar
  • Ruxin from The League
  • Tom Haverford  from Parks and Recreation
  • Jack Donaghy from 30 Rock
  • Schmidt from New Girl
  • Jeff Winger from Community
  • Dennis Reynolds from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
  • Dexter Morgan from Dexter (not his Hawaiian or linen monstrosities)

Obviously I don't like every single thing these guys wear, I'm just saying in general they do a pretty good job IMO.  Also, I'm fully aware I watch too many shows.  shog[1].gif lol8[1].gif

What are your thoughts on the ones I've mentioned?  Agree/disagree with any?  What other characters have caught your eyes as being well dressed?

I love the episodes where they have Tom in something absurd.  "Treat Yo'self!"

A lot of kids think that Barney Stinson from How I met Your Mother is dressing superb. I don't really think that but he is looking pretty good sometimes. Good fits but bad colour combinations and very little creativity.

I like Jack Donaghy's fabric and color choices, but I find most of his suits have very ill-fitting cuffs and pants.

Dexter? He might as well be a cartoon because he always wears the same thing--short sleeve linen shirts.

As for Ruxin, although he looks well put together, I'm pretty sure his color choices are ironic.  That is, they dress Ruxin to look like an asshole.

On Haverford and Spector, I agree. Don't watch any of the rest.

^^ Is that a shot from Brideshead Revisited? One of my favorite books...

I've been subjected to a lot of Gossip Girl by the significant other, and I've seen some combinations on Chuck Bass that I like, although some of the fits border on costume. There was, in particular, a suede arm-patched sport coat that I particularly liked a few weeks ago. Although, that other character on the show this season, who is supposed to be the Prince of Monaco looks like he shops in the boys department.

Barney Stinson's fits are usually decent, although I think some of the features are a bit too fashion forward for me.
