Plus size men's clothing

Thread Starter

Just a few questions for style conscious bigger men...

1) Where do you shop for clothes now?

2) Do you think there are enough brands catering to plus size men's clothing?

3) What do you look for when buying clothes? eg. fabric, cut, colour

4) What type of clothing do you find hardest to find? eg. formal, casual, outerwear

Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Are you a big size by virtue of height and/or by virtue of muscle mass and/or spare tire mass?

Sounds like a survey to me. I wonder if he is looking for shopping help or help opening a shop.

I am collecting information for my third year project at University.

It can be in height, muscle or mass.

Location is the UK and can be any price range - from highstreet to designer

Thanks

Plus Size is used in womens clothing. Big and Tall is used in shitty mens clothing.

Don't think you're going to find what you're looking for here.

At 6'4" and 265lbs, I've always had trouble finding RTW clothes. For tailored clothing, I've gone with MTM exclusively for the last few years. For casual clothing - sweaters, polos, etc. - I've found Tommy Hilfiger to cater to the gentleman of stature.

I'm also 6'4 and have never had issues finding clothes that fit me.

I'm 6'4" and I prefer pants cut long but most are regular. I'd appreciate a higher rise.

the biggest problem for Big and tall.
is that the clothing is cut for generic sizes
does the customer have large shoulders and chest and a smaller waist?
or all stomach?

made to order clothing is a better bet for larger men

For bespoke shirts, I suggest Turnbull and Asser (high-end of course) in Jermyn Street in London, England.
