A lot of people in this thread don't know TB does a lot of theatrics in his runway shows, and doesn't actually make clothes like that.

Oh noes look at last fall! Will he ever make White OCBD again!?

FWIW the new show fuckin rocked

Do you plan on seeing this on the racks?

For real, Thom is probably the only one who exploits the fashion show format to its full potential. Ppl are dumb, he has enough secondary line for the regular stuff, no need for a third iteration of cropped trousers + puffy blazers.

I´ve seen previous TB shows, but those jackets making the guys look like super jacked monsters prompted my initial WTF.

there's a fine line between exploiting full potential and simply making a mockery and exploding it.
a very fine line

That's why it's great though, you go expecting some kind of prep **** and then you realize you just landed into WvB-like crazy territory. Except that Thom still does prep **** on the side and that he maintains a same visual identity across all his lines, which has the effect of turning the grotesque mainline into some kind of perverted excrescence rather than something completely distinct.

Which results in confusion among serious people who just want their ribboned cardigans and ribboned longwings and ribboned boxers and who think --unaware of the delicious irony -- this is really try hard.

I liked some of the huge Lanvin shearling coats. The full-cut pants--2nd look below--were off though. Brands have been pushing full-cut pants for the past few years, and it never gets any traction.

this is a good, simple look, although I am not sure about the brown boots.

+1 on these lanvin shearling coats. I like the 2nd one you posted Dlester.

Only problem would be over 6000 retail price tag .

Lanvin is good. That's why I love it.

+1

Thom Browne is all about fun and irony to me. Even his suits and cardigans are meant to be seen as humorous iteration of US prep style.

LOVED this show. Very nice tribute to the classics of horror movies.

HELLRAISER meets old lady in a Chanel suit. How can one not love this ?

Lanvin looks good to me, minus the weird shoulders on some looks

I've seen people wear jacket with that kind of shoulders, it's not bad, just fun. :D
