I read the following article a couple of days ago. Never heard of him, and though I don't plan on using him any time soon, I'd like to know whether he's a good tailor.

Are there big-time Canadian SF members who have used him? How is he?

I'm not Canadian. I do have family in Montreal, however.
His website gives me an uneasy feeling. It's all shtick!
Also, the suit he is wearing does not scream understated
elegance. I would check his references very carefully.

Thanks. I didn't like any of the suits in the photo. I thought that if he had the governor of Bank of Canada as one of his clients, why didn't he put a more conservative suit in the picture?

Anyway, I don't plan on using him anyway. Given how few true bespoke tailors there are in Canada, I was just wondering whether Ely could be added to the list.

Something looks really funky with that lapel roll on the left. Some of the examples on his site look nice. He dresses like an idiot though.

ugly suits explained. It looks like a sportscaster tied his tie.
