How good are they? (I know this question belongs somewhere else but I don't care. Nobody read the subforums so I'm asking here.)

Is your mom giving you a hard time about dropping $200?

Their steeled toe work boots is good. Don't know about others.

Their moc-toe alligator skin brogue wingtip spectator oxfords are worth it, the other ones, eh... not so much.

They're awesome. I have 8130s and the quality/construction is superb.

from what I read man, they seem to be solid in construction, especially the GT. However, from what i read they require a break in period about a month or so and the leather are quite tough. Unfortunately I only tried them on a couple times and they seem quite hard. You can look into the alternative, the Wolverine 1000 mile boots. They are quite comfortable and seem to be on par with redwings and have solid construction. I just ordered a pair in brown! We will see in a week =D

Red Wings are quality shoes and the service at their store is great as well. I've owned the 875 for a while and wear them to work everyday. They are super comfortable and take a beating and with a little care still look good. Just bought a pair of 9011 on ebay and went into the store looking to see if they sell replacement laces for the shoes. He offers me a free pair of laces. I ask him how to care for the shoes and he tells me to use mink oil. He proceeds to give me a small jar of mink oil off the shelve for free as well. Top notch service
