Are these authentic Ferragamo's?

Viewing this listing on eBay and the listing states they are authentic Ferragamo Toro shoes.

I immediately noticed the soles and heels were definitely not Ferragamo. The seller states they were used on a movie production and the studio cobbler covered the heel and the sole with a rubber plate for durability and traction.

Does that explanation hold water?

Yeah, looks right to me.

Is there a reason you want them? I bet you can find nicer for the same price from a different brand.

I am not interested in bidding on them or anything. Just curious about the authenticity since the soles were not like any Ferragamo's I ever saw. At first glance, the explanation seemed a little far fetched, but I guess its plausible. I have no idea what goes on during a movie production so that reason may make perfect sense to someone in the industry.

More than likely, he bought them at a thrift store and had them resoled to increase resale value, and the fumes from the glue caused him to concoct a BS story.

nod[1].gif LOL, too funny. You may be correct, that's sort of what I thought, the story may have been concocted to increase the sale value.

Funny thing though, I tried a Google Image search and couldn't bring up anything for the Ferragamo Toro model, which the seller states those were.
