Dressy saddle shoes with a suit?

Hi all

As it says on the tin, do you think I could wear these with a blue suit?

If you have to ask, then NO.

If 50 strangers on a clothing forum all say you can wear a garbage bag as a vest, would you then do that?

You either have the confidence rock it or you don't

Saddle-shoes are inherently casual, I don't think you could get away with wearing them with a suit regardless of how 'dressy' they are.

I just like to hear people's opinions.
Obviously I do whatever I feel like in the end as I am from the *whispers* loafers with suit crowd!!

Only with a casual summer suit such as a seersucker or linen and then you would want a lighter color shoe like an off-white.

I wear dusty bucks with my navy linen and tan cotton suits in summer. I've worn that look for years yet only this last summer did I get lots of compliments on it.

I wouldn't wear a calf saddle shoe with a wool suit.

My saddles are solid black (J&M Aristocrafts and FootJoy Classics) and while I wear both with a SC and odd trousers, I'd feel uncomfortable in a dressy suit.  They also have radiused edges on the soles on both pair, which, to my eye, gives a slightly less formal look.
