Pretty much only when I'm putting on monks, because I can't be bothered to undo the strap(s).

Got a long 18" metal shoehorn. Joy to use, because I do not have to bend down very far to use it.

Absolutely, if you spend good money on shoes, taking care of them is a priority.

I dont generally use a shoe horn on boots, but would like to know if people here do, and importantly, how they do it when the boots go quite high up. Do you need an extra long shoe horn? A lot of my boots get quite bad creases on the back due to wiggling my foot in.

I bought a wooden 21" long shoe horn from JAB for $10 when I was getting some shoe trees. Barely have to bend down when putting shoes on now laugh.gif

Well honey, if you're on your back when the boots go high up, gravity does alll the work. No wiggling or shoehorn required.

That's fucking hilarious. Because we use it (only one shoe horn, we share) for cold stews on hot summer nights. It is gazpacho by the way.
