Are these considered square toe shoes?

Those are some ugly shoes. The brown ones are ugly, the black ones are moving into amazingly ugly territory.
Hi everyone. This is my first post on SF. Very nice to meet you all. I would like to ask the same question as the OP regarding these shoes . W ill I be cramping my style by wearing these? They are still within return period so I have time to get rid of them. I don't know if it makes a difference but I have size 8 UK feet. Thank you :)
Good afternoon everyone...

Get rid of them. The leather and stitching looks cheap and plasticky, and:

HERE'S WHATS WRONG WITH SQUARE TOES

Two problems. First, they look cheap the same way that a Thomas Kinkade painting looks cheap compared to one from an actual artist. One clearly took skill to do, the other didn't. One just looks lazy.

Second, they give no idea what the actual shape is of your foot. My theory is that like pretty much all things discussed on this site, they don't have to follow contours of the body, but they must reflect and acknowledge them. This does not. It looks very one size fits all, and therefore it actually looks very uncomfortable to boot.

On a slightly different topic, since the brown shoes seem to be (sort of) bicycle toed as well as square, has anyone ever seen a good looking pair of bicycle toed - i.e. stitches running all of the way to the front - shoe? It seems like the people who wear square toed monstrosities seem to like to liven it up with bicycle toes from time to time. Anyone have a pic of a stylish bike toe?

I saw a picture of a pair I liked once. Once.

Generally, they look awful, but I'd take a reasonably shaped pair of bike toes over a square toed horror any day.

Wow, I had to do a doubletake when I saw that those were still in the return period. Things looked like old worn out shoes in addition to being ugly. If that is what they look like brand new, imagine what they would be like after a year of wear?

Seriously, what's wrong with square-toe shoes?

Hordes of orcs will be bidding for this pair of beauts on eBay soon...

I've never seen a pair of bicycle-toed shoe I liked. I don't understand why shoe companies even make them.

Here are some picture. Do you consider these to be square toe shoes, or are they more like pointy shoes?
