Im new to the forum and I have read to stay away from square toe shoes. However, im not really a fan of wing tips. I was wondering if these are considered square toes/will I be beaten in the streets for wearing them?

Those aren't square toed but they're still pretty ugly. Also, "wing tips" refers to the broguing of the leather, not the shape of the toe.

These barely escape the firey furnace. You can still wear 'em.
Snap another photo from the front would you? They probably look better than this photo suggests.

lol wut? He's completely right that 'wing-tip' refers to the curved/pointed shape of the broguing on the toe, as opposed to a cap-toe which has a straight line going right across. Of course there doesn't have to be actual broguing, it could just be some other sort of join between the separate pieces of leather, like austerity brogue for example, but 'wing-tip' has nothing whatsoever to do with the overall shape of the toe. As for the OP's shoes; they are square-toed and ugly, they should be burnt.

Here's a picture from the front, I didn't say in the first post that they were Bostonians because I knew everyone on here would stone me.

These are wingtips...there needs to be the "w" patter somewhere on the tip top of the shoe. Yes, I realize I am not eloquent and a bit jejune in my diction and syntax.

Also, I had Bostonian's in High School. They aren't the worst brand ever, but I'm glad I never bought another pair. My suggestion is that if you can, wear them out and get your money's worth or donate to good will. I hope we are not Chanel here, burning unused stock of clothing!! Haha.

Also, please no more square toe shoes. Cap toe, apron toe, or wingtip are all fine by me.

Wearing them out and getting a pair of wing tips sounds like a good idea. I'm in college right now and most people I see on campus are wearing sweatpants and uggs, so I dont think I will be judged too harshly by anyone. But as soon as I get some money I will try to find a pair of wing tips I like. Thanks everyone for the advice.
