whats so special about this box? You're making it seem like its a grail piece. I dont remember receiving a grail box

Let me find ya a pic. I think this is the one.

Their first time customers and non-sale purchase, they will pack everything in their signature boxes. Everything in porter boxes, even the item (cardigan) does not come with designer box. Very well make and good looking.

Also, for the next time you order(non-sale item), you can select to have this box.

Got a love/hate relationship with packaging that's too nice to throw away
Need to think of something to productive to do with all my empty boxes/bags, build a baller fort maybe

Save for gift packaging. That's what I used for my gifts this year, and my friends have started to call me Mr Porter.

The packaging is nice, but I always feel like it's a waste of money and resources. About half my orders came with either the white porter box or at least one or two gift bags. It's a nice touch but unnecessary for me. I wish there was an option for minimal packaging or something like Context where they re-use older boxes.

Tie box, every tie comes with a tie box and a handled bag. :embar:

oh i see. I received a pair of shoes in one of these boxes. the shape is unpractical for a shoe box but its as sturdy and attractive as a box will ever get.

Yes the packing does make the ritual of getting new online swag even grander, but I find the additional giant bags to be a little ridiculous. I briefly mentioned this to customer service over the phone when asking about inventory, and they told me that they know their customers expect only the best when shopping with them. Again, MP customer service is great.

For people delivery their merchandise to their work place, the shopping bag is very handy.

You unpack your box at your office, place your stuff in the MP bag, and walk out of the office, bag in hand?

"So what did you buy at Mr Porter?" Co workers wanted to know what was inside when they saw me walk out with the bag. lol. It causes too much attention.
