If you are working in an office where the dress is business formal you are probably wearing suits that are navy, charcoal, light grey, olive, brown, tan, etc...  ... If this is the case a dark brown shoe like the one you've pictured is going to look better then a black shoe.

Personally, I don't own black shoes (I'm the exception).

What's wrong with brown? I see coworkers wear dark brown shoes more often than black ones.

If brown is strictly for farmes then black must be strictly for the military. What do businessmen wear, then? Oxblood I guess.

I'm a businessman and I only have three or so pairs of black. Everything else is a shade of brown, tan or burgundy/8
