shoes too shiny

Hey guys,

I recently bought a pair of black leather shoes, which look sharp, but quite shiny. I want to wear them casually with jeans and chinos, so would prefer if they were a bit more subtle or worn lol. Is there any process for achieving this? or will it have to come through wear? Also, before anyone says "find another less shiny pair to buy", I got these for a great price and would like to keep them. Thanks in advance for your help.

1) Rubbing alcohol. You should probably use some leather conditioner as soon as you're done, though, because alcohol really dries out the leather.

2) Don't create new threads to ask a single question. This isn't made clear enough when new members join, but questions like this should go in the "ask a question" thread (there's a link at the top of the forum) or in an existing thread related to the topic (like the "streetwear shoes and boots" thread).
