"Vertical" shoe inserts?

I got a pair of shoes for xmas (Gucci captoe lace-ups, if anyone was interested biggrin.gif) and, now they've stretched a bit they are about half a size too big.

Usually I'd put in "horizontal" shoe inserts (like Dr. Scholls or something) but the shoes have a low back and it will cause my feet to sit up too high.

Do you guys have any solutions for something I could perhaps but "vertically" in the heel to stop the shoes from slipping in the back when I walk?
