Okay, I will be in the Dominican Republic for a few weeks in March. I am of a lighter complection (Polish) and expect my skin is in for the worst. I'm going to have to wear dress clothes for a decent amount of time while there, so what kind of sun block or oil can I use without looking shiny and oily all the time?

This was a gift from my boss. I kept it for a few months before I just sold it. It is pretty solid. Made in USA. You can't beat the quality. If I needed a sterling silver money clip I would buy a...

I just picked this up and I am pretty pleased. Just what I expected. I am pleased with the Bark. However, I wish it was a little darker. A great deal for $35. Comparable to other belts in the...

SPF of 30 or more, oil-free. It would have to be reapplied often, and any kind likely would leave a shine. The best advice is to avoid the midday sun, cover up as much as possible (buy a hat there), maybe put some sun protectant in the wash before you go, and use sunscreen on whatever bare skin is left.

If most sunscreens are too greasy for your taste, try Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch. It's great.
Whenever you shop for sunscreens, remember that SPF 15 or greater (30 if you're going to be outside for much of the day) only indicates adequate UVB protection. from http://www.cosmeticscop.com/learn/sun.asp?ID=163 "SPF is crucial, but it is only a measurement regarding sunburn (UVB) rays. It is dangerous for your skin to not have UVA protection and many sunscreens do not have ingredients that can provided true full-spectrum (both UVA and UVB) coverage. There are no numbers to tell you about protection from UVA radiation. For that protection you have to check the active ingredient list to see if either zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, avobenzone (which may also be listed as Parsol 1789 or butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane), Mexoryl SX, or Tinosorb (Mexoryl SX and Tinosorb are only available in products sold outside the US). If one of those isn't part of the active ingredient list (it doesn't count if it is just part of the regular or "other" ingredients) you are not applying adequate UVA protection and that is dangerous for your skin."
