Gentlemen,

I need help identifying this particular pair of AEs: (Click to Enlarge)
122

It looks like Strands, except the medallion is shaped differently. Looks to be shell cordovan from the stamp, but the bottom doesn't say "Shell Cordovan", only has the stamp.

Stands medallion is different and looks like this:
263

Any thoughts on the shoe overall?

Unfortunately it's a Balmoral... Did they ever make lower-end models called "Allen Shoes" collection?

Is this a riddle, where you know the answer, or a mystery, where you don't know the answer?

There is a 4-digit code inside the shoe that you can use to get the name of model. Some time ago there was a massive spreadsheet, maybe a google doc, with a bunch of codes and names. Otherwise you can just write to AE and ask what the code means.

It's unfortunately a mystery where I don't know the answer... I'm not even sure if it's shell cordovan, it has the stamp though.

Is there a difference between Cordovan and Shell Cordovan?

Thanks. Any opinion on the shoe though? What's the market value (price you would pay for these)?
value depends greatly on how much YOU like them

Heck, I don't even know what they are, let alone how much I would pay for them.

That's not a Strand, I have mine in my hand and the side profile also does not match... I would pass...

The side profile view of the brogue design is lower on the strands I believe right?

Not just that, but the broguing running on the top should run right along the opening of the shoe, which it does not.

Noted, thanks for the info!

Now if I could only identify these shoes.

Looks kinda like a cross between the parliament (the shoe) and the weybridge (the brogue design)
