Epidural Shot

Question. A friend of mine has a herniated disc which is causing a pinched nerve. A doctor very close to us suggested an epidural and if it doesn't work then surgery. Has anyone else taken this route?

An epidural is used as temporary relief fro women going through birth. I'm sure it has other medical uses but your friend sounds like he needs a permanent solution and the epidural is not exactly like a flu shot.

my mother, who is 75 and is a basket of pains and falling appart joints, has had two. they hurt like a mother fucker. but they made her feel better for a period of time.

I highly recommend. It's good for awhile. Took anti-inflammatories before this, and this was way more effective. It's good to not do anything to "anger" the disc again with activities that are high impact, but definitely give it a try.
