Home Page Layout Change???

Is it just me or did the home page when you click onto www.styleforum.net change? It not doesn't show my my subscribed threads. Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if I now always have to click on subscriptions in the top right hand corner.

I just noticed the same change as well.

Ditto - I kinda liked the old way. It made accidentally clicking on a Reevolving thread fairly rare.

I definitely preferred it the other way. Far and away the thing I liked most about the big changes months back.

Yet another change that makes using the forum slower and more awkward, brilliant.

The subscribed threads index was very useful... Hope they put it back in place.

OS, Browser, etc... I'll get this looked into. Or, check your limit? Delete something, and then try to send? It can happen, especially to sellers.

The changes were made in response to overwhelming request to have more forum on the forum frontpage, our own vision for the forum, and indepth analysis of reader behavior.

I'm sorry if the changes do not work for everyone, but there are closing in on 1MM readers monthly, about 110K members, and we have to make judgement calls. All the old features (subscriptions, the live feed, etc...) are directly accessible from the frontpage, which now offers both a glimpse at the forum as a whole, the latest discussions (essentially, this is a truncated version of the "recent activity feed" we had before), and the best of B&S.

It's actually faster, and will become faster and faster with upcoming releases.

I didn't really mean in performance (page load time) terms, I meant meaning requiring more clicks and more page-loads to perform the same functions. Though I suppose for people who prefer to go straight to a forum rather than the 'My Posts' section it is faster now the forums are listed on the front-page rather than having to use the god-awful expanding Javascript menu at the top.

That turned out to be most people, including both me and j. Our goal here was to get more forum in the forum, while at the same time highlighting things like the carousel (which will link to the new blog with goodies like interviews with top tier retailers, tailors, and designers), the latest activity, and the latest in B&S.

Cheers,

Fok.

Thanks for your reply. Can't delete anything either. (sorry about that caps, didn't realize!)
