I recently picked these 2 up. The Players is great - I know it is essentially a Lombard with a double sole, but the suede makes it so much more comfortable and I love the color/texture of the suede.
The Black Hills were kind of an inpulse buy. I saw them in my local menswear / shoe store and really liked them. They look so much better in person than on the AE website. And I'm glad I saw them in person - I ended up needing a 9D instead of my usual 9 1/2 D in all my other AE's. The sales person said everybody is going down a half size on the Black Hills.
FYI, I also fit much better with a 9D McTavish.
