Girl I've Met Once Bought Me Burberry Tie Set

Girl just Facebook messaged me saying she'd got me a present for my birthday and after interrogation it's apparently a £120 Burberry tie, cufflink and square set.

 

I've met her once, I think she was just really happy today that her nan had bought her loads of Tiffany... I don't know if I should so willingly accept it or not.

Yeah- what Mike said. It's not as offensive as labeled LV clothing, so she might simply harbor some resentment rather than really dislike you (did you say anything snarky when yall met?) but she clearly isn't happy with you.

Aha well this is true, but she doesn't hate me as she did point out it's 'not that horrible chavvy style'

 

If she'd got me a damier tie i'd marry her, but surely an understated burberry is wearable guys?!

Does it have the nova check pattern? Is that maybe what she meant by "that horrible chavvy style?" (I'm not British, so I don't quite get the whole chav concept.)

I love 80% of the Burberry stuff nowdays. They've worked really hard to bring back classic pieces without the Nova Check.

I think they had to do something about it. I had a brief look at a Burberry store in Beijing a couple of months ago, Nova Check appeared to be limited to raincoat linings and women's handbags....now knock-offs...that's another matter.

I've been out of the UK for over 2 years now. Are there still chavs or is it something else these days?

When I saw videos of the London riots in August, it looked like Adidas is now the preferred brand of choice.

Yeah she meant not the standard ugly pattern.

 

And I am only 18 and her 17 so not quite a sugar momma but yeah I might suggest she get herself something instead!

Ugh, the fucking nova check pattern is on every scarf that every dumb whore from Jersey wears all the time. I'd wager close to 100% of them are knock offs because their stupid no-neck husbands are too fucking cheap to buy a real one but these stupid bints don't know the difference anyway and wear it with their fucking Uggz and their fucking sweatpants.

Sorry if that came off harsh but I'm hungover and in a bad mood right now.
